Vacation is a time of travel, relaxation, and also a nice time free from work, college or school. Sunbathing on the beach, mountain climbing, kayaking, swimming, refreshing drinks and relaxation. This is also the time when we practically never part with our phones. We use them to capture beautiful views and holiday moments, to keep in touch with friends and family, to share our holiday impressions on social media or even to map the right route with the help of our phone's navigation. Unfortunately, your holiday peace of mind can be affected if your phone is lost or stolen, if it comes into contact with water or sand, if it falls from a great height or even if it overheats in the sun. So how to protect your phone before a holiday trip and what to look out for so that your smartphone will serve us safely during the holiday?

Basic protection - accessories

Modern smartphones are characterized by a thin and lightweight design, which makes them not very durable. A moment's inattention or absent-mindedness can cause the phone to slip out of hands and become damaged, making it impossible to use the device. In order to use your smartphone comfortably and safely, you should purchase the appropriate accessories for your phone.

The best, simplest and most obvious way to protect your phone is to purchase a case. High quality, slim phone cases protect against scratches, cracks, damage or spills, while maintaining the full functionality of the device. Case will adequately protect the device for the time of its transportation in a bag or backpack, as well as during the use of the phone against possible damage.

Complementary to the protection of the device is to protect the screen. For this purpose, you can use tempered glass or protective film. Protecting the screen will prevent scratches on the display, the formation of unsightly fingerprints, as well as other dirt.

In case of traveling by car, a useful gadget will also be a phone holder, which will allow for safe and comfortable use of the phone (e.g. as a GPS) without the risk of damage.

With a smartphone on the beach

It is best to keep your smartphone in the shade. Remember that leaving your phone in a hot car is not a good idea either! The danger is that the device will overheat, which may lead to a reduction in the functionality of the phone and even damage it. Overheated smartphone will charge more slowly or not at all, may reduce its performance and speed of data processing. In some devices, manufacturers have introduced special protections that are designed to turn off the phone if its temperature reaches a certain value, and its restart will be possible only after the phone has cooled sufficiently.

Phones, but also other electronic devices during holidays on the beach are exposed to various types of damage and defects, which are not necessarily covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Just a moment of inattention or absent-mindedness and the phone can slip out of your hand, for example, while taking pictures. In such a situation, it can fall into the water or fall on a hard surface, and as a result the phone may be scratched or even damaged. Of course, the phone can also get scratched in a bag or backpack, so it is always a good idea to keep the device in a protective case.

Sand scratches

Sand due to its loose structure and hardness is a raw material that can easily scratch your device and also get inside your phone through the holes, ports and even the speakers of your phone. Sand particles can easily scratch the lens of the device, which in case of deeper scratches can cause problems in catching the focus while taking a photo or lead to blemishes being visible on the photos taken. If the phone is not protected by a protective glass or foil, the display glass is also at risk of scratching. A phone with a scratched glass will look less aesthetically pleasing and because of this there may also be problems with the ability to use the functions of the device.
